School Age

Kinder Pups

The Kinder Pups program is a bridge between the preschool program and the school aged program. More emphasis is put on basic gymnastics rather than the obstacle courses throughout the gym.

Age: Kindergarten

Duration: 1 hour/week

Cost: $94/month

Beginners

The Beginner program focuses on fundamental gymnastics skills, strength, and flexibility. Athletes build their foundation on all four events (Vault, Bars, Beam, & Floor). Through learning formal skills, athletes are introduced to more technical corrections, the process of being coached, and obtaining skills after some hard work!

Age: 6+

Duration: 1 hour/week

Cost: $94/month

Advanced Beginners

The Advanced Beginner program builds on the foundation from the Beginner class. Athletes will begin to learn how to connect skills from the beginner class, build strength, and gain a better understanding of technical corrections. Athletes are promoted into Advanced Beginner (if currently in RCYF) or evaluated and placed in the class (if coming to RCYF)

Age: 6+

Duration: 1.25 hours/week

Cost: $105/month

Intermediate

The Intermediate Program is a very challenging workout.  Athletes in this program must have a very solid foundation of the basics from our Beginner program (evaluation, by appointment if not currently in our program).  Intermediates are learning to connect skills that ultimately lead to basic routines on each piece of equipment.

Age: 6+

Duration: 1.50hours/week

Cost: $114/month

FAQs

What should my daughter wear?

We recommend tight fitting shorts/shirt, a leotard, or a one piece bathing suit. Athletes could be spotted. Having loose fitting clothing is potentially dangerous for the coaching staff. Come ready to move!

We have a friend in ______. Can my athlete join her friend?

Let your child progress at her own pace! Throwing her in a class that she may not be ready for has the potential to ruin the experience.

My daughter has been in ______ for a while. Is she ready to move up?

Promotion between classes comes from a recommendation from the coach. Communication with the coach before/after class can help with the next steps in the program!

Is there anything we can be doing at home to help progression in class?

Of course! Ask your coach for some exercises. He or she may be able to pin point a few areas in need of additional attention. We love seeing athletes taking their experiences in the gym into their own hands outside the gym!

My daughter is scared of _______. Can she not do it today?

Unfortunately, we do not let athletes avoid things that scare them. However, we can modify the exercise to allow for relative growth in the area of concern. One step in the right direction a day can lead to future success!

Can we join team from recreational class?

Of course! We frequently pull athletes from our Advanced Beginner and Intermediate classes to our XCEL and J.O. Teams. We look for the athletes showing progress week-to-week and those who cannot seem to get enough!
